Your discipline specific and generic skills training are both rooted in your College, so the Guide starts with information on the training programmes provided by the University's four Colleges.

You would normally be expected to attend your College training programme in its entirety – although you might be exempted from specific sessions, with the agreement of your thesis committee, if they are not appropriate. However, it is important not to be limited to what is on offer in your College. Familiarise yourself with what other Colleges offer and contact them if you want to access anything offered by another College.
