Who is this training for?
These training days are suitable for all postgraduate researchers:
- in Schools/Departments within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Law
- at any stage of their research degree
We consider these training days essential for ALL postgraduate researchers within the College. If you wish to be excused attendance - for example, if you feel you have already completed relevant training - you should contact the College Director of Postgraduate Research for further advice.
The School of Law's legal researcher training programme is normally compulsory for all postgraduate researchers in the School - but they are encouraged to also participate in the College programme to ensure they develop a sufficiently broad range of skills.
What skills will be covered?
These training days are designed to cover a broad range of generic research skills and transferable skills to support you in your research degree and help you prepare for your career beyond.
The training days have been designed around the requirements of the Researcher Development Framework - but to help you ensure that your training plan is sufficiently broad based, you are encouraged to explore some of the other training opportunities available such as the workshops presented by the Postgraduate Researcher Development Team or the Skills for the Professional Researcher programme.
Who can I contact for further enquiries?
If you have any further enquiries about these training days, please contact Kathy Baddiley.
