Departmental Postgraduate Tutors
Each School/Department has a Postgraduate Tutor. The Postgraduate Tutor's exact role will vary according to local practices within the School/Department, but will normally include responsibilities relating to both taught and research postgraduates such as:
- postgraduate admissions processes
- departmental postgraduate progress monitoring procedures
- overall pastoral care for postgraduates
- mediating in any disputes between postgraduates and the department
- acting on the behalf of postgraduates before appropriate University authorities
