Tuition fees and Scholarships

The University of Leicester intends to charge an annual tuition fee of £9,000 to UK and EU students new to the University in 2012. Alongside this increased tuition fee, the University is offering undergraduate scholarships to students totalling more than £8 million, with individual scholarships ranging from £1,000 to £3,000.  More details on tuition fees and scholarships.

A number of scholarships are open to all geoscience undergraduates at Leicester. These scholarships can include work experience placements with the company.

Department Academic Prizes

We offer competitive prizes and awards in each year for academic achievement and overall performance.

In addition, students have won bursaries for volcanology and mineral deposit field courses in North and South America based on their excellent fieldwork skills, and have  been awarded University travel bursaries for extra-curricular overseas visits.
