At the annual Geology Postgraduate Research day on 10th May, postgraduate researchers from across Geology presented their research through a series of talks and a poster session.

Thomas discussed his work on "Can phosphatic microfossils constrain Cambrian climates?". For his prize he has decided to attend Goldschmidt 2018 in Boston.

Angela Castagna who displayed her research on "Effects of Water and Low-Medium Temperature on Limestone from Mt Etna basement" was a very close runner up.

Congratulations to both and all well done to everyone who took part in the event.
