Guest Speakers

Your chance to find out the upcoming talks happening in the department

Every week we have guest lecturers that come and talk about the research they are currently doing. It is a really good chance to get an up-to-date view on the ever changing world of Geology.

The talks are on Mondays at 4pm (in Ben LT10) and usually last about an hour. They are open to everyone in the department. The talk is followed by a few drinks in the Old Horse (through Victoria park) where you can chat to the lecturer and generally socialise as well as taking advantage of the 10% discount for Geologists! This is well worth it as guest speakers from industry have been known to buy drinks AND curry after the lecture!

This years talks are currently under planning. Information on this up-coming years talks will be made here in the near future!

The talks for this year up to Christmas are as follows (remember that Monday talks alternate each week between the PCSB and the Society Of Economic Geologists), the below list will be updated as information beomes available.

As usual the talk will be held in Lecture Theatre 10 at 4.00pm and will be followed by drinks in the Old Horse with the chance to ask questions and chat with the guest speaker.
