About the PCSB Geological Society

The PCSB Society is a student led society through which the students of the Geology department can voice their views and opinions.

The PCSB society is about the most active, well run and dedicated, course linked, society at Leicester University so look out for our sign-up stall in the Bennett building lobby during the first two weeks of term.

Every week throughout the year we invite guest lecturers/speakers from industry, organisations and other Universities as well as members of our own faculty to give talks and presentations on subjects and oportunities of interest to students. (PS: Membership also gives you a discount on drinks at the the Old Horse after guest lectures)

We also organise events such as paintballing, laserquest, inter-society football (there is also the Magmatics rugby team for the department), Summer BBQ, Social Curry nights, Christmas Party, Easter Ball, Christmas Ball, society field trips and pub crawls.
