LGAS aims:

• to promote networking between our alumni.
• to maintain links between alumni and the department at Leicester.
• to provide a source of contacts and information for our students as they move towards graduation, and developing their careers.

LGAS actions:

Using donation from alumni, LGAS helps current students by:

• subsidising voluntary field excursions run by the departmental student societies.
• subsidising fees for voluntary short-courses for current students.
• providing a hardship fund to help current students in real need.
• providing a fund for departmental undergraduate student prizes.
• providing a Research fund for assisting postgraduate students.
