Workplace Geographies

Year Two, Semester Two

The aim of the module is to inform and enhance your thinking towards career pathway and gaining work experience with your degree in Geography. External speakers will talk to a variety of job roles, both those following a more explicit pathway from a geography degree and others. You will have an opportunity to research a particular role in more depth, bringing a geographical angle to your study. The module will also include opportunities to develop practical skills. We will work with you to produce a high-class CV and cover letter and practice interview skills.

Assessment will be by:

• CV and Cover Letter
• Essay on a contemporary geographical issue
