all aspects of geographical information science, a general understanding of approaches to research in human geography, and a detailed understanding of one of the sub-disciplinary fields that are the specialization of the human geographers at Leicester. Components of a faculty-wide training programme in the social sciences provide a basis for this degree. This approach introduces students to the diversity of approaches in contemporary social science, while insuring a rigorous grounding in human geography.
