My main research interests are natural hazard and risk assessment, climatology and coastal geomorphology.

I am currently working as a Research Associate with Dr Claire Smith on ‘the spatial characterisation of wind impacts in an urban environment’, project funded by EPSRC. The aim of this research is to develop an integrated approach to evaluate the exposure and vulnerability to wind for the population, buildings and infrastructure, within the case study area of Greater Manchester. I will mainly be involved in the spatial characterisation of wind patterns from in situ measurements.

I completed my PhD from the University Western Brittany (Brest, France) in 2011 for a study of “Coastal flooding hazard in Brittany”. From the analysis of past coastal flooding events and from in situ measurements realised during this work, the main objective of this research was to better understand the atmospheric, marine and hydro-sedimentary processes that take place during coastal flooding at different scales, along the coasts of Brittany.
