Arise, Sir Bob!
Everyone is back at work today after the Christmas break and those staff who didn’t check the New Year Honours list are discovering that our esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Burgess, has been awarded a knighthood “for services to local and national higher education.” Professor Burgess is known throughout the University as simply ‘Bob’ and we’re all jolly proud of him.
