Geography academic advocates change in way housing is planned and constructed
Fifty final year geography undergraduate students from the University of Leicester are due to visit Melton Mowbray on Tuesday 30th November as part of their course on Ecological Futures.

Dr Nick Tate and colleagues in the Netherlands (Dr Nick Hamm of ITC/Twente University) and Southampton (Prof. Peter Atkinson) have been successful in securing funds from the UK-Netherlands Partnership Programme.
Innovative combination of measurements to be used for the first time to assess how the flow of a river affects sediment erosion and deposition, channel stability and the integrity of bridges and other infrastructure. Research impacts hydrologists, engineers, environmentalists and many other groups who live or work on or near rivers.
