Following the two highly successful conferences that were organised in Leicester and Crete in 2009 and 2010, the future annual conferences will now be organised under the auspices of the new society - International Finance and Banking Society (IFABS). The 2011 International Conference will be organised by the University of Rome III, Italy between 30 June and 2 July 2011, in collaboration with the University of Leicester - School of Management, United Kingdom.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
The International Finance and Banking Society are very pleased to invite you to submit papers in all areas of international banking and finance. Both theoretical and empirical papers are encouraged in areas which include, but are not limited to:
Asset pricing;
Banking;
Capital markets and investing;
Corporate governance;
Corporate finance;
Efficiency and productivity analysis;
Financial crisis;
Financial regulation;
Globalization and integration in financial services;
Insurance;
Market microstructure;
Risk management;
Securitization;
Specialised lending.
Those interested in presenting a paper at the conference are kindly invited to submit their completed paper or a detailed abstract (the more complete the paper, the better), along with your name, address, affiliation, telephone number and e-mail address, and those of any co-authors, by 1 April, 2011 to the Conference Chairs (F. Fiordelisi, M. D. Fethi, S. Monferrà) by email: ifabs2011@uniroma3.it.
SPECIAL JOURNAL ISSUE:
A special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance (JBF) on the conference theme will be published under the Guest Editorship of Franco Fiordelisi, Meryem Duygun Fethi and Stefano Monferrà. Papers submitted for this special issue will undergo the normal journal review process and the journal’s usual submission fee will apply. Authors whose papers are accepted for presentation at the conference are encouraged to submit their papers for the JBF special issue. Additional details for the submission procedure will be provided later.
