PhD Studentships

We are looking to recruit a number of PhD students for the forthcoming year. Possible topics include:

  • Development of ionospheric data assimilation for space weather applications
  • Investigation of ionospheric clutter on HF surface wave radars
  • MIMO systems in the HF band
  • Prediction techniques for HF propagation at high latitudes
  • Experimental investigation of HF propagation along the trough
  • Over-sea propagation at VHF and UHF
  • Effect of the polar ionosphere on trans-ionospheric radio signals
