PhD Studentship: DC breakdown mechanisms in polymeric insulation for HVDC applications
A PhD studentship, sponsored by Nexans Research Center, Lyon, is being offered by the University of Leicester. The student will work under the supervision of Prof. John Fothergill and Dr Steven Dodd in the Department of Engineering. The studentship is available immediately for 3 years and will cover living expenses and fees at the UK/EU rate. Applicants from outside the European Union should be aware that the studentship will not cover the tuition fees at the overseas student rate. The student will be based at the University of Leicester, UK, but will be expected to spend some of their time at the Nexans Research Center, Lyon, France. Applicants are sought with a high level of Bachelor or Master’s degree in an appropriate area of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
