Professor Helen Atkinson is first woman ever to become President of the Engineering Professors’ Council

Professor Helen Atkinson FREng, Head of the Mechanics of Materials Group in the Department of Engineering at the University of Leicester, will be the first ever woman to become President of the Engineering Professors’ Council in its fifty year history, when she takes up office on 12th April 2011.
