Summer project success for local A-level student

by nja posted on Nov 19, 2009 03:55 PM last modified Nov 19, 2009 03:54 PM

During the summer of 2009 the Department of Engineering ran a project with Chris Kennell, a fast track student from Longslade Community College, under the Nuffield Science Bursaries scheme.

Chris, now studying for A-levels and hoping to go on to Oxford University, carried out an eight week project over the summer, funded by a Nuffield Science Bursary.  His project, to investigate a modern replacement for analogue-to-digital conversion equipment used in the Department's undergraduate teaching, was a great success.  The results were presented at an event at Astra Zeneca in Loughborough on the 14th of October.
