Engineering student wins Royal Academy of Engineering Award

by nja posted on Jun 14, 2011 04:17 PM last modified Jun 14, 2011 04:18 PM

Congratulations to Felicity Harer (First Year Mechanical Engineering) who has won the 14-18 age group of the Bosch Technology Horizons Award.

Felicity was presented with her prize at the Royal Academy of Engineering Awards dinner at the Guildhall in London.  The dinner was a glittering occasion in a very historic setting (the Guildhall dates back to the twelfth century) with Vince Cable as guest speaker. The Bosch Technology Horizons Award is a national essay writing competition aimed at young people. Felicity wrote about how the implementation of closed loop processes within the manufacturing industry would be essential in creating a greener world.
