Leicester Engineering graduate is Australian Professional Engineer of the Year

Professor Karen Reynolds has been awarded the title of Australian Professional Engineer of the Year in the Australian Engineering Excellence Awards.

Professor Reynolds studied at the University of Oxford before completing a PhD at the University of Leicester, and was a lecturer in the Department of Engineering before moving to Australia in the late 1990s.  She is now Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Flinders University, with interests in the fields of biomedical engineering education, the development of new medical devices, and improvements in the training of medical specialists.
