Research at the School of Education

The School of Education has an excellent reputation for being at the forefront of education research of national and international significance.

Research and scholarly activity within the School is co-ordinated through Special Interest Groups which include academic staff and research students. The work of these groups is focused on the following research themes:

Members of special interest groups are involved in a number of ongoing research projects.

Our research builds on partnership with local primary and secondary schools through highly successful programmes of initial teacher education, postgraduate research and continuing professional development.
