After graduating from the University of Warwick in 1997, Sue taught in a Warwickshire primary school where she quickly became the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and a member of the senior management team. She also designed and implemented the school’s policy for Gifted and Talented children before progressing to teach on both the BA (with Qualified Teacher Status) degree and Primary PGCE course at the University of Warwick, where she was a Senior Teaching Fellow. After taking on key managerial roles on the BA programme Sue became programme leader for the PGCE Primary in 2005.

Sue joined the School of Education at the University of Leicester as a lecturer in January 2008. Since then she has completed her Masters degree in Learning and Teaching. Sue is currently Programme Leader for the Primary PGCE Course and leads the mathematics subject strand for the course. The majority of her teaching is on the Primary PGCE Course but she also contributes to the BA (Hons) Degree in Educational Studies.
