Melanie Wilde’s first degree was in Philosophy at the University College of Swansea, Wales and she has recently submitted her PhD in Research in Education.

Prior to moving into higher education as a University Lecturer, Melanie taught in an inner city primary school in Leicester and then spent 3 years as a part-time language support teacher.

Melanie teaches on the PGCE  Primary Course, with responsibility for the coordination of the Primary English Strand and recruitment.  She is also the School of Education Research Ethics Officer.
