Research Interests
Alison’s research explores teacher and leader development from the perspective of teacher learning. She specialises in qualitative research methodologies. Her recent research interests include:
- The development and support of beginning teachers
- The development of school leaders
- Continuing professional development
- School-university partnerships
- The role of social media in teachers' professional learning
- The ethics of educational research
Alison is particularly interested in the roles of networking and collaboration in professional learning, and in supporting practitioner research connected with practice development and school improvement.
