A Postgraduate Course for Secondary English Teachers and Primary Specialists.

Overview
This practical and relevant course will provide you with the opportunity to deepen and broaden your knowledge, skills and understanding of teaching and learning issues in English education.
The course will cover such issues as:
- The changing nature of the English curriculum;

The impact of technology on teaching and learning in English;
- The teacher as writer, reader and performer;
- The use of oral, visual, written and multimodal texts to engage and inspire
students across the 5 – 19 age range in their language and literacy learning.
Course Aims
The course aims to:
- address new curriculum and pedagogical developments in English and literacy
- extend your personal skills
- enhance your students’ learning

There is also a requirement for additional study, equivalent to three days for developmental work in your own school or with colleagues from the course, plus
personal time for reading etc.
