Responsibilities
- Head of the Department's administration, directing the 3 teams of administrative staff supporting the operations of the Department, with specific personal responsibilities of the management of examinations, finance, operations, buildings, IT & facilities, teaching management and quality assurance, staff workload and contract management, timetabling & management information and the development of efficient systems and procedures.
- Financial budgeting and management accounting
- Strategic and business planning.
- Line manager of the Department's team of 35 Graduate Teaching Assistants and Tutorial Assistants and related teaching and workload allocations
- Member of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Learning and Teaching and Staff/Student Committees, Mitigating Circumstances Sub-Committee, Equal Opportunities Committee, Senior Management Group and Chair of the Department's Administrative Group.
- Student pastoral and welfare support
- Data Protection and Freedom of Information Co-ordinator
- Lead Fire Warden and Building Safety Supervisor
