Semester Abroad

The Department of Criminology offers the opportunity to have 1 semester abroad during the 2nd year of the BA Criminology degree. Places are limited and to be considered you will need to have a strong academic record and be in good standing with the University. This study abroad programme gives you the opportunity to experience a different culture while studying the equivalent modules to those being studied here at Leicester. Students pay their fees at Leicester and are responsible for their own travel and living costs in North America. At present, we have an agreement with one institution: California State University Long Beach. This institution has been chosen because they have a Criminal Justice Department with similar teaching.

It is not possible to apply solely for this programme. You need to apply for the BA Criminology degree. When you have begun the degree course you will be given the opportunity to attend an information meeting regarding the study abroad programme. At this stage you will be able to apply for the programme.
