This programme presents students who have successfully completed the Department of Criminology's Foundation Degree in Security and Risk Management with the opportunity to progress to a Bachelors Degree in Security and Risk Management. This challenging course offers advanced knowledge and understanding through teaching tailored to meet the exacting, changing and rising standards of the security industry.

Successful completion of the course allows students the opportunity to explore postgraduate study at the University of Leicester.

This innovative distance learning programme is provided using the latest on-line delivery and support tools, with study materials and student assessments delivered via the internet (applicants must have regular access to the web). Students can also access first rate online library, research and support services, established by the University of Leicester for its distance learning students.

Course Structure and Assessment

This eighteen month distance learning programme consists of four core modules and a dissertation, which together are worth the 120 credits required to pass the programme.
