Biography
Sarah joined the Centre for Labour Market Studies in January 2011 having previously interned in a number of roles with Members of Parliament and with a high profile national health charity. She graduated in 2010 from the University of Leicester with a BA International Relations and will be embarking on a postgraduate course of study at the Centre for Labour Market Studies. Sarah is also on the Youth Advisory Committee of the national Sexual Health Charity – FPA.
Research Interests
Sarah’s current research area is working with colleagues Dr Henrietta O’Connor and Dr John Goodwin on the research project entitled 'Continuity and Change in 40 years of School to Work Transitions'. This project is a re-study of classic school-to-work transition data including Youth Labour Markets Young People’s Survey (1986 - Professor Ken Roberts) and Young Adults in the Labour Market (1983 - Professor David Ashton) with the overall aim of re-examining the transitional experience of young people.
Administrative Responsibilities
Sarah is primarily responsible for the data management and analysis of various ongoing projects exploring the transition from education to work. She has considerable expertise in data transcription, the creation of bespoke databases for data management, and the analysis of qualitative research materials and archives.
Publications
Sarah is currently collaborating with CLMS staff on publications.
