Student comments on their intercalated BSc project placements in the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences:
It was an amazing opportunity for me to learn and apply principles about research.
I have managed to gain not only research experience but also develop my clinical and communication skills.
My year spent in the Cardiovascular department has been a very exciting and enjoyable one.
Its hard work, but you get an amazing feeling when you get interesting experimental results.
With an Intercalated BSc, you develop and learn research skills you would normally never do in the 5 years of Medicine.
