Book reviews

Kokkinidis, G. (2014) Alternative Work Organizations by Maurizio Atzeni (2012) Book Review for the Special issue: “Business, Management and Anarchism”, Ephemera: theory and politics in organizations.

My research interests lie in the field of organisational studies and critical management studies. My current research interests centre on alternative organisational practices and the social organisation of space and commons.

Much of my recent publications and works in progress focus on cooperatives and workers’ collectives in Greece and their organisational practices; the emergence and evolution of solidarity initiatives in Greece as part of an anti-neoliberal resistance landscape, and the creation of autonomous spaces. I'm also working on various projects related to issues such as that of workplace resistance, employees' attitudes to work and identity work.

  • Leandros Savvides: 3D printing: politics, hacking and grassroots innovation (full time)

I would be interested in supervising students in the broader area of organisation studies and critical management and particularly interested in topics related to:

  • Alternative forms of organisation and organising
  • Social movements and solidarity initiatives
  • The social organisation of space and commons
  • Workplace resistance
  • Employees' emotions and attitudes to work
