Research interests

Arthropod neuroethology

Neuroethology is a branch of science that seeks to understand the neural basis of animal behaviour. I am particularly interested in the effects of circadian rhythms on the visual system and visually-guided behaviour in arthropods.

Specific research projects include:

• Circadian rhythms in locust nervous system

• Vertical migration in Antarctic krill

• Vertical migration in Northern krill

• Crustacean eyes - optics and evolution
