IMPALA Steering Group met on the 15th of March in the afternoon to review the progress and to provide guidance for the future project activities. The members were able to interact with two of the IMPALA partners - Prof John Fothergill and Dr Chris Cane – over lunch and listen to their approaches to using podcasts. The agenda, minutes and other documents related the meeting are available in this folder. The next meeting will be held over two days, 19-20th June 2007 to coincide with the project team meeting + a writing workshop. The Steering Group agreed to help with the writing process.

Impala group is meeting on the 1st and 2nd June to discuss the details of the project plan for the year ahead and to conduct the first workshop. No doubt the team would want to celebrate the success in winning the HEA grant to carry out the research project! The event will be held in the MediaZoo at the University of Leicester.

The Impala project partners met through a telephone conference on the 3rd of April at 3.45pm and a face to face meeting on the 4th of April at 9.30am. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the assesors comments for the expression of interest and the plan for the first workshop. The meeting also provided a chance for the project members to discuss some of the podcasting applications that they are planning for the main phase of the research.
