The CHEETAH symposium was held on the 15th of July. It hosted 37 delegates from both CHEETAH and three ADDER HEIs (De Montfort University, London South Bank University and University of Northampton). The event provided CHEETAH partners the opportunity to reflect on their Carpe Diem experiences and share their future institutional cascading plans. Their feedback was positive as they outlined key Carpe Diem gains which included the awareness of Web 2.0 tools for learning and teaching practices, the opportunity for course teams to have the creative and reflective space to re-design their modules and the opportunity to work closely with the learning technologists and subject librarians.

The ADDER representatives from University of Northampton and London South Bank University as well a CHEETAH representative from University of Worcester presented their institutional cascading experiences to other HEI delegates. The University of Northampton representative has started conducting customised in-house Carpe Diem workshops for colleagues. The CHEETAH partners are interested in conducting similar customised workshops at their institutions. They also were able to get ideas from the three representatives on how to build institutional capacity within their Universities.

Professor Gilly Salmon presented a brief session on research sustainability in which she provided delegates with a list of potential funding agencies in order to take their Carpe Diem gains forward. She encouraged both CHEETAH and ADDER partners to collaborate with each other on future project bids and also keep the CHEETAH team informed of any future institutional capacity building developments.

The symposium provided the CHEETAH team the opportunity to gather more research data. These data will be analysed and incorporated into the final HE Academy report. Here is a link to some of the photos of the posters which CHEETAH and ADDER partners showcased at the symposium.
