The CHEETAH project had its first Steering Group meeting today. This meeting had a representative from each of the institutional partners and was chaired by Professor David Hawkridge at the Media Zoo, University of Leicester. The project is still in its early days and focus of the meeting was on the CHEETAH HEA interim report. The SG members offered their input and suggestions for improving the draft document presented to them. The CHEETAH team presented their rationale to the SG members for adding a research component to an otherwise development oriented project. The research gains for both the project and institutional partners were outlined.  

The next SG meeting was fixed for the 14^th of July with the CHEETAH symposium slated for the 15^th of July.
