Course description

Course Overview

Research overwhelmingly points towards the benefits for the learner of using audio. The human voice adds a level of personalisation that decreases isolation and increases motivation for students. It also leads to decreased workloads for the academic. Ever wondered how you can stop answering the same question over and over again when the solution is clearly written in the handbook?

What can I expect to cover?

This popular session highlights the benefits of using podcasts in teaching before showing participants how to  use Audacity - available as a CFS download - to record  and edit audio files before uploading them to Blackboard.

What will I get out of this course?

Participants will leave with one podcast that can be incorporated immediately into their current teaching, and the skills to produce as many as they need.
