Research shows that making available digitized teaching and learning materials freely and openly available on the internet can increase student enrolment and also boost the web visibility of institutions and academic departments.

This one day workshop is designed for academic staff and draws on lesson learned by the OTTER team one of the JISC OER funded projects. The objectives of the workshop are:

  • To showcase OERs developed by academic departments across the University of Leicester
  • To present and demonstrate the application of the CORRE framework for turning existing teaching materials into OERs
  • To introduce participants to Creative Commons licences
  • To showcase and offer examples from international and national repositories hosting OERs
  • To share techniques and tools for assessing the impact of Open Educational Resources

The workshop is free and will be facilitated by the Beyond Distance Research Alliance OER team. Details of the workshop are as follows:
