Simon Kear

Simon KearSenior Learning Technologist 

Simon is Keeper of the Media Zoo. It is his job to maintain the Zoo in all its environments, and to ensure the animals are well cared for and amenable to visits from the public.

Simon also offers many hands-on opportunites for University staff and associates to engage with learning technologies.

With ten years experience as a freelance editor in academic publishing, Simon is a University of Leicester graduate with degrees in international relations.

  • October 2011: Santander Travel Award to visit the eLearn Center of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, £500.
  • October 2011, with Denise Sweeney (Academic Practice Unit), Teaching Enhancement Program funding to run internal pilot project in lecture capture £1010
