‘New Directions in Media Research Conference’
This second annual conference, running on 14 June 2013, aims to celebrate the diverse research interests held by PhD research students in the Department of Media and Communication, whilst also providing an opportunity to reach out and establish links with other researchers working in similar disciplines from other departments and universities.

Thesis Forum - The APG Review
The thesis forum returns for the spring!
Come along and meet researchers from all disciplines and all stages of the PhD. The March session will focus on the Advanced Postgraduate (APG) upgrade and we will hear from three researchers who successfully passed. There will also be the chance to find out more about Leicester’s very own research magazine "Frontier", and plenty of time for informal discussion.
The forum is not a training session for those preparing for their APG review - more an opportunity to hear from those who've completed the review and will be sharing their experiences to help you get a better feel of what to expect.
For the first time, off-campus students will also be able to participate in the thesis forum. You simply need to click this link on 19th March from 3pm (GMT) to take part. You will be able to see and hear the speakers plus put your own questions to them.
The forum starts at 3.30pm - but off-campus research students are encouraged to log on from 3pm so we can check your settings. To take part in the webinar, please follow the webinar instructions.
