outreach at kibworthOur Outreach team takes archaeology workshops and talks out to schools and colleges in the county. It also runs Masterclasses and workshops on campus and in the department. We've also worked with the army on Project Nightingale at Caerwent. Find out more on what we do! And hear about the places we have visited last year, read some testimonials, and see what we can bring to your school to help bring the past alive!

Click on the above links to read short summaries of work undertaken as part of pilot work at Wallingford in advance of our application for major funding for the current project.  The pilot work was designed to employ geophysical survey, topographic analysis and small excavation work in order to both sample and to test the archaeological potential.  The pilot phase also included obtaining archive data for the 1960s and 1970s unpublished excavations in the castle and castle area and undertaking preliminary sorting of these.
