About us

The CTU is an academic unit able to provide expertise and support for the management of multi-centre randomised controlled trials and other complex studies to the standards required by regulatory authorities, and to provide support in the form of specified trial-related services. Observational or cohort studies that require significant levels of data management could also benefit from CTU support.

We encourage investigators to make contact with the CTU early in the process of proposal development. If you are thinking of running a clinical trial, or if you are already involved in one and need some support and specialist advice, please phone or email us to arrange a meeting.

This unit receives National Institute for Health Research CTU Support Funding. This funding has been awarded to support the unit in developing and supporting NIHR trials.
