The management structure of the College seeks to bring together the individual units to maximise inter-disciplinary developments in curricula, teaching and learning, and research. Accordingly, there are three Committees and a Business Group:

Terms of Reference
The College Academic Committee contributes to the strategic development of the College through its responsibility for existing and future programmes of study. It is charged with the oversight of quality assurance and enhancement, with supporting pedagogic and curricular innovation, and with developing new courses.
SPECIFIC REMIT
1. Develop existing and new programmes of study in the College, including inter-departmental programmes.
2. Disseminate innovation and good educational practice across the College.
3. Assure the quality and standards of campus-based and distance-learning programmes (UG and PGT), particularly annual monitoring, external examiners’ reports and the Annual Student Survey.
4. Supporting new programmes through programme approval processes.
5. Implementing the University Learning and Teaching Strategy across the College, and developing a College strategy for Quality Enhancement and Innovation in Learning and Teaching
6. Approving curriculum change and revision to regulations.
The Committee will meet twice per term, but will also conduct its business through working-parties drawn from the membership.
Departmental/School Representatives will be contributing directly to the College’s strategic planning through their responsibility for one of the following: Distance Learning; Equal Opportunities; Employability; Inter-departmental UG programmes; PGT; Student Experience and Progress.
CAC will report to the College Management Committee and to the University Academic Policy Committee. Additionally a meeting of Academic Directors (MAD) will serve as a route for dissemination/liaison across the Colleges.
