Geography's 90th Anniversary
During the University Summer Reunion Open Day on 29 June 2013 the Department will be opening its doors to celebrate our 90th Anniversary with various hands-on activities/talks/tours. 11am - 6pm.
Mammoth Research
An international team of scientists, including Leicester’s Dr Sue McLaren, have recently discovered mammoth remains in a loess–palaeosol sequence in north-eastern Serbia.
Play in Times of Austerity Workshop
On 22nd May 2013 over 30 delegates from across the UK attended a highly successful ‘Play in Times of Austerity’ Workshop, co-sponsored by the Geographies of Children, Youth and Families Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and the Human Geography Research Fund at the University of Leicester.
