Fees and entry requirements
For the course starting in September 2014, the tuition fee is £9,220. This covers the full 24-27 months of the course and applies to all students from all countries. The course fees includes all study materials, tutor support and examinations.
With regard to arranged visits to campus, accommodation will be provided free of charge, although you will be responsible for travel costs in getting to the University of Leicester and for any personal expenditure during your visits (some meals and refreshments will be provided).
You can pay:
- Your full tuition fee up-front when you register
- Or half of your fee when you register and the other half one year later
- Or your fee in six equal instalments over your registration period (4 montly intervals)
If your application is successful we will send you instructions about how to make payment. We accept a number of payment methods, including credit or debit card, bank transfer and sterling cheques.
Your tuition fees cover the range of services that you will receive, including access to Blackboard, the provision of study support, and materials. You will not have to buy any text books unless you wish to do so. All of the study support materials described above are included in the course fee. There will be no extra charges for studying elective modules with partner institutions.
Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis and we welcome them from students from a range of backgrounds and educational experiences. If you do not hold an academic qualification, we may be able to consider you on the basis of extensive and relevant work experience.
Suitable candidates for the MSc Forensic Science and Criminal Justice will normally have:
- A 2.1 UK honours degree or its overseas equivalent
- Or extensive and relevant work experience in the Forensic or Criminal Justice sector.
If your first language is not English you will need to satisfy the University’s English language requirements.
