Services and Consultancy
The University of Leicester recognises the need to develop links with both industry and law enforcement agencies in order to provide the highest level of forensic science service provision. The University has international partnerships in key areas of forensic science that have enabled university staff to provide expert advice in criminal investigations and to give expert testimony in court, both within the UK and overseas.
The Alec Jeffreys Forensic Science Institute can provide you with access to these resources, which include expertise in social as well as natural sciences.
Recent areas of partnership working and consultancy include
- Ongoing collaborations with industry partners such as Consolite Forensics and Key Forensic
- Providing expert testimony for court (Departments of Engineering, Chemistry, Forensic Pathology and Criminology)
This work has received international recognition and has provided law enforcement agencies across the world with new and improved methods of solving and preventing crime.
