The Centre for English Local History is devoted to the study of local history nationally across England and Wales. The research expertise in the Centre is varied and wide-ranging, staff are often successful in receiving research grants from funding bodies including the AHRC, ESRC, Leverhulme Trust, Wellcome Trust and the Marc Fitch Fund.
