The Alumni Summer Reception was be held in the Ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Thursday 18th August 2011.

Over 80 graduates across 50 Class Years came to network, meet fellow graduates and support heart research.

The evening ran from 6.30pm until 8.30pm with complementary drinks and canapés  served throughout. The Vice-Chancellor welcomed alumni and guests to the event and updated them about the University's recent successes.

Tickets for this special occasion were free but alumni and guests were invited to make a suggested donation of £20 per person to the Cardiovascular Research Centre Appeal. This state-of-the-art facility will be headed by Professor Nilesh Samani, winner of the inaugural Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award at the dinner in February.

Over £1000 was generously donated, thank you to all those who gave.
