Information: Having qualified with an HND specialising in Pharmacoloy and Anylytical Biochemistry in 1972 I started work in the department of Zoology at the University of Leicester.During this period I added to my knowledge and became proficient at identification of freshwater invertebrates and gained various ecological techniques.Then in the early 1990's the department of Zoology merged with the Botany department to become the Biology department.I had always had an interest in information technology having setup and run an apple macintosh local network for our group initially and then the department as a whole. After the merger I expanded into the Windows systems, software and hardware trouble shooting.It just goes to show that how ever how old one is you can still reskill if you have the interest.
