Profile

Having worked for two departments at the University of Leicester, I have been involved in the research  and implementation of innovative and immerging technologies that enhance the learner experience and have supported and trained staff in the use of these technologies.

Role includes:

  • Primary ICT support officer for  the seven SSDS services
  • Project leading the new SSDS Website redesign in the Plone Content Management System.
  • Evaluating the potential and introducing immerging technologies to support students in personal development
  • Improving support materials for distance learning students
  • Training SSDS staff to improve their ICT skills

  • Support and tuition of academic staff as part of the Media Zoo on technologies including podcasting and Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment
