Blackboard Technical Response Form

This online form has been designed to help students to report any problems they are experiencing with Blackboard. Please complete the form fully to enable the team to respond to your query. Please allow 4 working days for a response.

Technical Assistance Request             

  • Before you complete this form check the service interruption schedule published by the University IT services department. You can access the 'SERVICE STATUS' at the following link: http://www2.le.ac.uk/offices/itservices

 
  • Queries relating to non-registration on their Blackboard course site is usually caused by the student missing a step in the process and not registering to access Blackboard. You can do this via the online form. Do please remember the need to refresh your browser.

  • Queries relating to the Digital Library are frequently answered in the guides under 'The Library' on Blackboard. Alternatively contact the Librarian (contact information provided under 'The Library' on Blackboard).

  • Queries relating to the Online Submission system are often answered in the Instructions under 'Online Submission. If you have missed the sign up deadline please do not contact the University. IMPORTANT: If you have signed up by the deadline and you can see your name on the sign up list please remember to (1) logout of Blackboard (2) close your browser (3) 'refresh' your browser and 'scroll down' the page to see the portals.

  • Queries relating to the Blackboard structure/discussion boards are usually answered in the material under 'Getting Started' on Blackboard.

  • Queries relating to downloading AGC Forms can usually be resolved by the student following this link:

The School of Management support students are a large number of sites and so we need to know which site you are are working on. Each Blackboard course site has a code and a title that is displayed at the top of the screen on each each course.

Please use the selection box below to outline the issue that you wish to inform the School of Management about. Do make sure that you have read the instructions on Blackboard and online submission before requesting assistance. You will find these instructions under 'Getting Started' and 'Online Submission>Instructions'.

Provide as much information as possible to allow the Technician to work on your difficulty. If you do not provide this information your assistance request cannot be answered. This information could include for example the discussion forum you are unable to access, the precise location of the hyperlink that is not working, the full reference to the missing article, the dates that you experienced the difficulty etc. The more information you provide the easier the technician will be able to address your difficulty.

A screen print is a highly effective way of providing the technical team with important information on the problem you are experiencing. To take a screen shot: maximise your browser window; press the keyboard button 'Prt Scrn'; open a new document in MS Word or in a graphics package; paste the screenshot contents into the new document; save the document; and upload the document to the technical response form
